Wanda Darlene Dunn

Wanda Darlene Dunn age 84, of Quincy, died on Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Illini Hospital, Pittsfield, IL. Wanda was born in Quincy on August 17, 1937, a daughter of William Clement and Telitha Ellen (Smith) Fusselman.

Wanda first worked at St. Mary Hospital, then worked for Denman Linen Service from 1978 until she retired in 2000.

She was a 1956 graduate of Brown County High School in Mt. Sterling, IL. She was of the Catholic faith, having been baptized and confirmed while she was living at Barry Community Care Center.

Wanda liked cooking and baking and going out-to-eat at the Coach House. She was a fan of the reality series, “Big Brother” and “Survivor” and enjoyed playing games with her great-granddaughter, Hadley. She was very happy when she was going shopping and when she received phone calls from her friends.

Survivors include her daughter Carol Holbrook and her husband Joe of Quincy; and a son Robert Reddick.
Two granddaughters, Lindsey (Luke) Wellman and Ariel Holbrook, two great- grandchildren, Hadley Garner and Cora Wellman of Quincy. A brother, Chester Fusselman of Quincy; two sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews also survive.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Richard “Gene” Fusselman and Bill “Dean” Fusselman; a sister-in-law, Linda Fusselman and a grandchild, Evan Holbrook.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church by Rev. Steven Arisman. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Quincy Humane Society.
