Vivian Melinda Deal, age 85, of the Good Samaritan Home, died on Thursday, January 3, 2013 in the Home. She was born on July 21, 1927 in Cullman, AL the daughter of Milburn & Etta (Smith) Heatherly.

She was of the Southern Baptist Faith.

Vivian’s family was the most important thing to her and she loved them very much.

She is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Betty King and her husband William of Quincy, IL; Melinda Wiener and her husband Timothy of Quincy and Jeffrie Deal of Quincy
10 GRANDCHILDREN: Steve, Cynthia, Herbert, Angel, Charles, Timothy, Jennifer, Felicia, Betty, and Marcus.
15 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Steve Jr.,Veronica, Zia, David, Destinee, Skyler, Hayden, Madison, Dallis, Ciarra, Angel, Morgan, Danessa, Greyson, Bentley.
SIBLINGS: Johnny Goodno, Edtha Baker, Paulette Vargas and Ethelene Bryan.
Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Willie Goodno and Charles Heatherly and two daughters: Andalue Guthrie and Darlene Guthrie.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 1:30 PM in Greenmount Cemetery. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
