Vivian L. Lawson, age 90, of 721 Payson Ave., Quincy, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 7:38 p.m. in her home. She was born on February 21, 1925 in Doughat, AR, a daughter of Samuel B. & Rosa (Green) Groves. She married Trent T. Lawson. He preceded her in death.

Vivian retired as a seamstress with State Street Store.

She was of the Christian faith. She was an avid Cardinal fan and never missed watching a game. Her family was the center of her life, including any friends.

She is survived by a son, James Lawson, of Beardstown, IL; four daughters, Pat Freeburg of Grand Junction of CO, and Trenna Lawson, Cherrie Gibson & Kristi Kroeger, all of Quincy; and twenty-two grandchildren. Several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and three sons, Russ, Dale & Don Lawson.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at Hardin Cemetery in Hardin, IL. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
