Vivian L. Hardy
Vivian L. Hardy, age 89, of Quincy, died on Thursday, October 31, 2019 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on October 18, 1930 in a farmhouse north of Paloma, IL. She was the daughter of Walter W. and Anna M. (Koerline) Starman. She was a graduate of Mendon High School. She married John Henry Hardy on November 10, 1951 in St. Edwards Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2011. Vivian was a senior clerk in the traffic and distribution department of Moorman Manufacturing Co. for almost 37 years, retiring in 1985.
Vivian is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her husband, Vivian was also preceded in death by three siblings: Milton S. Starman, Charles J. Starman and Mildred Chandler along with her husband Jack.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM in St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00. Memorials may be made to Blessing Foundation for Hospice or to St. Peter Catholic Church.
My mother Marjorie Koerline Zimmerman was the chief organizer of the annual reunion. Every year we would visit as cousins. It was always a wonderful time. I will be at the funeral mass. I will be singing with the St Peter Reserrection Choir.
