Virginia S. Rossmiller, age 80, of 839 E. 1800th Street, Liberty, died on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 5:20 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. She was born on January 10, 1928 in Quincy, Illinois. She was a daughter of Sadie (Fierge) Welsh. She married William Rossmiller on June 17, 1950. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1981.

Virginia was a member of Parkview Church.

She loved animals and frequently took in stray animals. She loved her family and was a very loving person. She gladly gave to her church, various charities, and to family members in need.

Survivors include:
CHILDREN: Karen Walton of Holland, MI, Victoria Mondon of Liberty, Randy Rossmiller and his wife Debra of Fowler;
GRANDCHILDREN: Todd Walton & his wife Michelle, Crystal Walton, Will Walton, Heather Mayfield and her husband Scott, & Benjamin Mondon.
SEVEN GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN:
ONE SISTER: Ruth Jordan

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. George Tomko. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home Memorials may be given to Quincy Humane Society or to Parkview Church.
