Virginia L. Clow
Virginia L. Clow, age 85, of the Sunset Home, formerly of the Quincy Senior Center, died on Friday, October 17, 2014 in the home. She was born on September 13, 1929 in Quincy, the daughter of Glover & Alma (Schullian) Forden. She was a 1947 graduate of Quincy Senior High School. Virginia married Ronald R. Clow on December 29, 1948 in St. Francis Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1988. Along with her husband, Ronald, Virginia was in the bakery business for many years. She owned and operated the SanAnn’s Donut Shop in Quincy, the Snow White Bakery in Dixon, IL and Ron’s Coffee Shop in Mendota, IL until the moved to Arizona in 1980. In Arizona, they owned and operated Country Coffee Shop in Gilbert, AZ and the County Mile Restaurant in Mesa, AZ until her retirement in 1988. Virginia liked to travel with her family and loved being around her grandchildren.

CHILDREN: Lisa Burgess-Masten and her husband Kermit of Quincy and Sandra Gibbs and her husband Roy of Las Vegas, NV;
GRANDCHILDREN: Joshua Burgess of Lynden, WA; Marc Amarillas and his fiance Sunshine of St. Louis, MO; Mike Otten and his wife Rosa of Las Vegas; Denise Napier of Tennessee; James Otten and his wife Autumn of Henderson, NV: Matt Masten and his wife Kristen of Quincy and Adam Masten also of Quincy.
GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Alan Burgerss, Devyn Burgess, Kallie Otten, Kobie Otten, Kasen Otten, Kenna Otten, Katherine Napier, Ronald Napier, Danica Napier, and Caleb Napier, Travis Otten, Trevor Otten and Sandy Otten and Marrin Masten
A SISTER: Sinny Kludy of Davenport, IA
A SPECIAL NIECE: Judy Kendrick and her husband Ron of Mendon
SPECIAL GREAT-NEPHEWS: Jason Mooneyham and Orlando Rivera both of Quincy.
Several other nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
In addition to her husband, Virginia was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Ronald E. Clow; and a sister: Marian Schick.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11:00 at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Senior Center or to the Sunset Home.
