She married Wilfrid J. “Willie” Huber on June 12, 1948 and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2008.
Ginny was a homemaker; she also was a wonderful cook who had worked at the former Barons Restaurant. Prior to that she was employed in the kitchen at Lakeview Bar and Grill for fifteen years.
She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Ginny was devoted to her faith and to her family and was very active at St. Anthony Parish. She loved singing and had been a member of the choir. She cleaned the parish rectory for many years, was a member of the St. Anthony Altar Society and quilted with the Quilters Group since its inception. Ginny was also a member of the St. Anthony Branch of the WCU, the former Our Lady of the Angels Seminary Guild and active with the Quincy Deanery, particularly with the Blanket Project. She was a Charter member of the St. Anthony’s Unit of the Home Extension and maintained membership for fifty-five years. She had served as an election judge.
Ginny was very creative and generous with her time and handiwork. She had made hundreds of baby bibs for the Ladies of Charity. She and her husband Willie raised a large garden and shared their produce with family and friends. She was a supportive wife who helped Willie on the farm and with their annual mulligan feast.
Her greatest joy was family. She cared for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing and teaching them many of her skills. Being a devout woman of prayer, Ginny truly lived her life in service to others, and was a living example of faith until the very end.

Dear Scott and Marybeth:
Ginnie and I send our condolences concerning the death of Marybeth’s mother. Last September I said goodbye to my mother and even though we had shared many years together it was still difficult. We will commend our mothers to the care and love of Jesus and know that they are with loved ones as well. God bless and our prayers are with both of you.
