Virginia Berglind

Virginia A. Berglind, age 82, of 1122 Koch’s Lane, formerly of 100 Earel Camp Road, Quincy died on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in her home. She was born on January 31, 1929 in Quincy the daughter of Lloyd & Charlotte (Allen) Davis. She married Theodore “Ted” Berglind on December 26, 1950 in Quincy. He survives. Virginia was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Virginia’s greatest love was the time spent with her family and friends. In addition, Virginia looked forward to and enjoyed her ‘second family’ of snowbirds in Orange Beach, Alabama.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:
THREE DAUGHTERS: Donna Wiewel and her husband Steve of Quincy, JeanAnn Crabtree and her husband Mark of Las Vegas, NV, and Linda Holthaus and her husband Ed of Quincy.
TEN GRANDCHILDREN: Rob Reinold, Holly Reinold, Mark Crabtree, Michael Crabtree, Jon Crabtree and his wife Aunica, Tamara Marraffa and her husband Frank, Brandee Achilles, Nathanael Holthaus and his wife Mindy, Amber Hendrian and her husband Brian, and Mindy Richards and her husband Brian.
SIXTEEN GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN along with other relatives also survive.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and one son Theodore Berglind II.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 with a prayer service at 6:45 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.

    so sorry to hear about Ginny. Such a sweet, funny lady. We will miss her so much…always enjoyed our time together in Orange Beach. (and her birthdays) which were always a gala affair.

    As the oldest with the Ruxlow name, I remember cousin “Ginny” from the ’30s and early ’40s. Also recall fishing with her dad. Thanks to my brothers for passing the news along.
