Virginia A. Taute

Virginia Ann Taute age 85, of Quincy died on Sunday, January 1, 2012 in North Adams Home, Mendon. She was born June 28, 1926 in Providence, RI a daughter of William J. and Anna M. (Connellan) Conley. She married Frederick “Fritz” Taute on April 4, 1946 in Golden, IL. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2011.

She was a homemaker and in later years she helped families with child care in their homes.

Virginia was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was a longtime member of the Eagles Auxiliary and was active with her husband Fritz in the activities at the Eagles.
She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, and walking at the mall. Virginia never met a stranger, she loved to visit and she dearly loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include:
THREE CHILDREN: Fred Taute, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Warwick, RI, Ruth Felker and her husband Dan of Quincy, and Chris Taute and his wife Cathy of Ottumwa, IA;
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Elizabeth Pella and her husband John of Warwick, RI, Brian Taute and his wife Debbie of Warwick, RI, and Michelle Taute and her husband Tom Schario of Cincinnati, OH.
FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Katelyn, Christian, and Jacob Pella, and Benjamin Taute.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Fritz.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Blessed Sacrament School or North Adams Home Activities Fund.
