Virgil Peter Obert, age 87, of 2622 North 24th Street, Quincy, Illinois, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in his home at 5:33 PM . Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 9:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 9:30 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church with Rev. James Wheeler presiding. Interment in Calvary Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #37. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home with a parish prayer service at 3:30 p.m.. There will be a Knights of Columbus prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Francis Grade School or to the KC Mass for Shut-In’s.
