    Evelyn, Jim, Tom and families,

I was sad to hear of Virge’s death. He was a good man and I know you will all miss him very much. I will always remember the cigars he used to smoke when I was a little kid and the way he always treated my family with kindess. My dad always told me a story about the time he was working on a pancake breakfast at St. Rose with Virge. They were making these pancakes and people kept coming back for more, saying they were some of the best pancakes they’d ever had. It turned out you were supposd to use water in the mix, but Virge had found some milk and was using whole milk instead of water. I will remember you all in my prayers and my condolences to you at this difficult time.
