Sharon — The Times-Reporter had a notice concerning your mother’s death. I wanted to express my sympathy. My wife and I spent several informal occasions with your father and mother after I started in the New Philadelphia City Prosecutor’s office while he was on the bench. What a wonderful couple they were, and I remember he called her Tick, I believe. When Peg was expecting our first child in late 1979, the four us travelled together to Columbus so your father and I could attend an Ohio State Highway Patrol seminar. Peg spent the day with your mother at the old downtown Lazarus and they had a wonderful time. She fondly remembers that experience. On the way home, we encountered electrical difficulties with their vehicle. That added to the memory of being together. Also, its hard to believe some 50 years have gone by since a certain third-grader at Dover St. Joe had a crush on our pretty young teacher, Miss Musgrave. Again, my sympathy to you and the family.
