Vincent Odin Brown

Vincent Odin Brown age 5, of Quincy died on Monday, December 7, 2020 in Blessing Hospital.
He was born in Quincy on December 13, 2014 a son of Joseph and Jennifer (Wheeler) Brown. Odin was a Kindergarten student at Baldwin Elementary School.

Odin was a “heart warrior”—he was fighting every precious day, but most people never knew this because he was so energetic and fearless!
Odin loved being outside swinging, jumping, and climbing. He was a light to anyone who would meet him, proof that true love needed no words. Just his smile could melt all the world’s problems away.
He also was a big fan of The Octonauts which he liked to watch while enjoying his favorite snack, Sweet & Spicy Doritos and if he could get away with it a drink of his mom’s or grandpa’s soda.

In addition to his parents, Joseph and Jennifer, survivors also include:
Three siblings, Lydia Wheeler, Abigail and Dylan Brown.
His maternal grandma, Danya Wheeler, paternal grandmother, Dorothy McHatton and paternal great-grandmother, Leona Dietrich all of Quincy. Aunts and Uncles, Kristin (Todd) Eyler, Erin (Bryan) Dusch all of Quincy; Charles (Amber) Wheeler of Little Rock, AR. Jennifer (Brian) Myers; James McHatton and John McHatton all of Quincy. Many cousins also survive.

Odin was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa, Charles Wheeler and paternal grandpa, Paul Dietrich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 12 o’clock noon in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church with Rev. Steven Arisman celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 to 12:00 noon at St. Francis Church. If attending services, please wear a face mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Memorials are suggested to St. Louis Children’s Hospital Heart Center.
