Victoria J. “Vicki” Bliven

Victoria J.”Vicki” Bliven age 71, of Quincy, died on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 4:53 p.m. in her home.
She was born August 9, 1946 in Quincy, the daughter of Willard and Marjorie (Aden) Post.
She married Richard K. Bliven on January 1, 1966 in St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camp Point, and he survives.
Most recently, Vicki had worked as a waitress at the Maid Rite.
She was a graduate of Central High School in Camp Point. Vicki was a member of Grandview Church.
Vicki liked collecting antiques and butterfly memorabilia. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. She enjoyed finding good movies for her grandchildren to watch and she adored her dog and constant companion, Aden.
In addition to her husband Richard, survivors also include, her mother, Marjorie Drew; her children, Matthew Bliven and his fiancée Liz Davis; Shaun Bliven and his wife Jessica; and Justin Bliven all of Quincy. Grandchildren: Taylor Wiemelt and her husband Sam; Reagan Bliven, Riley, Abigail, Luke, Paige, and Emily Bliven; Wyatt; Kashton and Xander Bliven. Two great-grandchildren, Landon Bliven and Briar Wiemelt. Her father-in-law Everett “Keith” Bliven of Manchester, IL along with brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, a granddaughter Alexis Bliven, and her mother-in-law, Louise A. Bliven.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Grandview Church, 10th & Cedar. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials are suggested to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice. Arrangements are with the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. www.dukerandhaugh.com

    I am so sorry for your loss. Vicki was such a sweet lady and would do anything for anyone. I knew her from living around Golden and going to school with her. (JF) You are in our prayers.
