Todd Michael Schutte
Todd Michael Schutte, age 51, of Quincy passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Todd was born on October 14, 1972, in Quincy, son of Butch and Judy (Maynard) Schutte. He married Tracy Parrish on June 23, 2018, in Palmyra, MO and she survives.
Todd had worked as a bricklayer, serving his apprenticeship with Vonderhaar Masonry in Quincy. He later worked in Des Moines, IA and most recently at Bailey’s Custom Masonry in Hannibal, MO.
He was a 1990 graduate of Quincy High School. Todd attended Lincoln College with a Wrestling Scholarship for two years, and then attended W.I.U.
Todd loved hunting, fishing, shooting trap, being outdoors, and his yearly family vacations at the Lake of the Ozarks. He also water skied with the Great River Ski Club and liked to snow ski. He was a hard worker, loved his wife and kids and genuinely liked helping others. Todd was always ready to socialize, have a beer and join the party. He loved his favorite dog, Rex.
Survivors include his wife, Tracy; his parents, Michael “Butch” and Judy Schutte. Children: Tanner (Angela) Sparks of St. Louis, MO; Bailey (Wesley) Selsor of Quincy; Trevor (Cathleen Caing) Schutte of Tampa, FL; Taryn Schutte of Quincy and Blake Lewis of Quincy. A brother, Cory Schutte of Chatham, IL; his father in-law and mother-in-law John and Debby Parrish of Palmyra, MO; brothers-in-law, Todd (Tami) Parrish of Gravois Mills, MO and Jason (Jamie) Parrish of Palmyra, MO; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Todd was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and a brother Travis Schutte.
Todd’s family gratefully acknowledges the Cancer & Infusion Center at QMG; and Dr. Tucker and Staff at Hannibal Regional Medical Group for the wonderful care that they gave Todd. A special thank you to Dr. Tucker for being there every step of the way and the excellent care he provided.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 12:00 noon at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at St. Francis Solanus Church from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the church. Memorials are suggested to Blessing Foundation for HOSPICE or Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, www.lustgarten.org. Service arrangements are with Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. I always enjoyed my visits with Todd, Butch, and family at HRMG Infusion Center. Todd was certainly one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve known. Prayers for peace and comfort for all of you.

So sorry to hear this. I only met Todd several years ago when he was my neighbor for a while,I hired him to roof my pool house I was building, what a worker he was! Then later he did a couple other roofing jobs and rebuilt my dad’s chimney also. I wish I would have known him sooner and closer, my condolences to all,rest in peace friend.
Todd was our neighbor on 11th street.in later years he did some work for us on our house and also for my Mom.He was always smiling and was a little,, on the onery side,Always calling the ladies hon. his smile was contagious. I know that he will be missed. our condolence’s to the family.
