Timothy L. Lindsey

Timothy L. Lindsey, age 53, of 915 N. 4th St., Quincy, died on Sunday, October 26, 2014 in Blessing Hospital at 4:08 a.m. He was born on April 11, 1961 in Hannibal, MO, the son of Darrell & Grace (Copelan) Lindsey. He married Carol Dopheide Hardy on January 1, 2001 in Quincy. She survives.

Timothy was a machinist with Holister Whitney. He was a member of the local Machinist Lodge 822 and a member of Rocky Point Club.

Tim loved life and people, he was a friend to all, he never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. After his first love of family especially the grandkids. He loved camping at Whispering Oaks, NASCAR, Hotrods and Handlebars for Hero’s, volunteering with Toys for Tots, helping with the Union Labor Day Picnic, one of his favorite things was riding his bike escorting Honor Flights with family and friends.

TWO SONS, Randy Lindsey and his significant other Hope of Quincy and Levi Lindsey of Rushville, IL;
TWO DAUGHTERS, Tiffany Ishikawa and Shannon Elmore and her significant other Jeff, all of Peoria, IL;
A STEP-SON, Chad Hardy of Galesburg, IL;
A STEP-DAUGHTER, Amy Cossileon of Quincy;
SEVENTEEN GRANCHILDREN
ONE GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTER
SIBLINGS: Eddy Copelan and his wife Debbie of Bartonville, il; Steve Lindsey and his wife Kringle of Quincy; Doug Lindsey of Quincy: Mike Messer and his wife Karla of Moberly, MO; Robert Messer and his wife Ronell of Moberly, MO; Matt Lindsey and his friend Shelly of Griggsville, IL; Floyd Lindsey and his wife Becky of Wright City, MO; Melissa Lindsey and her friend Jake of Bartonville, IL; and Joy Lindsey of Belleview, IL.

He was preceded in death by a step-brother, Ricky Messer and a step-sister, Peggy Donath.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Majors Andrew & Cheryl Miller. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Great River Honor Flight.
