Tilton Crites, age 90, of the St. Vincent Home, formerly of 326 Spruce, died on Sunday, May 8, 2016 in St. Vincent Home. He was born on April 16, 1926 in Shenandoah, IA the son of Tilla & Martha (Dant) Crites. He married Margaret Crites who preceded him in death on September 29, 2006. He later married Sylvia Crites.

Tilton served in the United States Army and later the Air Force. He worked as a policeman in the Air Force and afterwards worked in security services.

He is survived by:
TWO DAUGHTERS: CATHIE FORT of WYOMING and KAMILA HARMON from Pendleton, IN
FOUR STEP-DAUGHTERS, SIX GRANDCHILDREN, EIGHT GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Sunset Cemetery of the Illinois Veterans Home with military rites conducted at the cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 until the time of the services. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
