Thomas R. Ward

Thomas R. Ward age 72, of 2117 Rancho Blvd. Quincy, died on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 12:32 a.m. in Sunset Home. Tom was born July 14, 1941 in Hannibal, MO a son of Martha Ward. He married Laura Walden on July 10, 1976 in Quincy and she survives.

Tom was a Supervisor at Quincy Compressor retiring after 41 years with the company. He was a graduate of Hannibal High School. Tom was of the Baptist faith.

He enjoyed playing golf for many years, attending flea markets and watching Western movies.

In addition to his wife Laura, survivors also include his children, Rusty Ward and his wife Connie of Quincy; Rodney Ward and his wife Christine of Quincy; and Krista Chinnis of Canton, MO.
Step-children: William “Billy” Morgan and his wife Lisa of Macon, GA; and Dennis Morgan of Quincy. 16 grandchildren and a great-grand daughter also survive.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, a son-in-law Mark Chinnis and two uncles, Frank and Jim Ward.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. David Sorenson. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family.

    So sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. We were classmates in highschool. We spent a lot of time together in those days. Many fond memories. Condolences to the family.
