Thomas L. Rardon, Sr.

Thomas L. Rardon, Sr., age 62, of 911 South 15th, died on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 4:46 PM in Blessing Hospital. He was born on December 23, 1953 in Quincy, the son of Arthur & Ruth (Reddick) Rardon. He married Darla Wittler on July 2, 1987. She survives. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam era having served as a member of the 101st Airborne. Mr. Rardon worked at Eagles Foods in Milan, IL for numerous years. He later worked at Quincy Notre Dame and several local businesses. He attended the Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. Rardon loved spending time with his family, especially his “Aunt Ruby” and his grandkids. He also enjoyed playing video games and cards.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by:
SIX CHILDREN: James Rardon and his wife April; Joseph Wheeler and his wife Cheyeann; Thomas L. Rardon, Jr and his wife Tabitha; Amber Wittler and her fiance’ Justin Gibbons; Stephen Rardon; and Jessica Sparrow and her husband Christopher.
11 GRANDCHILDREN
THREE BROTHERS, Arthur Rardon and his wife Connie, Robert Rardon and his wife Sharon and Ricky Rardon and his wife Julie
FOUR SISTERS, Joyce Nichols and her friend Bernie, Cynthia Mason and her husband Mark, Rita Robbins and her husband Harlan & Pamela Leaver and her husband Jack.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene. Interment in Sunset Cemetery with military rites conducted at the cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene.

    Tom was always very good to me, and I will miss him always. I have nothing but fond memories in which i will take with me always. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family!!
