Thomas J. Wellman Sr. age 77, of Barry, Illinois, died on Saturday, May 09, 2020 in his home. Born September 6, 1942 in West Point, IA, the son of Al H. and Ana Barbara (Sporer) Wellman.
He married Adelia Bradley on July 25, 1964 in Ft. Madison, Iowa.

She preceded him in death on June 18, 2005.

Thomas served his country in the U.S. Army. He was retired from his work as a heavy equipment operator and he was a member of Operating Engineers Local 965 in Springfield.

Survivors include three sons, Tom Wellman Jr., Joseph (Mary)Wellman and Sean (Michelle) Wellman. His brother, Mark Wellman; sisters, Dorothy, Marilyn, Shirley and Wanda.
Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a brother, David Wellman.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, there will be private graveside service for Thomas. Interment with military honors will take place at Sunset Cemetery.
