Theodoshia ” Doshia” Perkins, age 97, of Sunset Home, formerly of 601 Country Club Heights, went home to meet her Lord, on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in Sunset Home. Doshia was born on November 6, 1919, in Quincy the daughter of Katie Perkins Griffin.

Doshia was employed by Moormans Manufacturing Co. in the Laboratory for 13 years until her retirement. She was also a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church. Doshia loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed drawing and working around her home. To all of her family and friends, Doshia was a joy to be around and can still hear her laughter.

She is survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Mary Francis Thompson and her husband Richard of Quincy
Gregory Brace and his wife Cathy of Houghton, Louisiana.
ONE SISTER: Dorothy Johnson of Quincy, IL
14 Grandchildren and Numerous Great Grand Children and Great-Great Grand Children and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Doshia was preceded in death by her parents, One Son Bradley Brace, Two Brothers, Jerome Perkins, Jesse Perkins. Two Sisters; Alice Jones and Eleanor Moore.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until time of services. Memorials may be made to the Bethel AME Church or the Alzheimer Association.
