Theodore Rehwaldt, age 84, of the Illinois Veterans Home, formerly of Springfield, IL, died Saturday, March 12, 2016. He was born on December 15, 1931, the son of Edmund Otto & Loral (Reinhardt) Rehwaldt. He married Muriel D. Callner on June 23, 1956 in Chicago. She preceded him in death on March 28, 2008.

Theodore is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Linda Mulhall of St. Louis, MO; Carol Doubek and her husband Dr. William of Oshkosh, WI; and Phillip Rehwaldt of Quincy, IL.
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Amy Klopstein and her husband Conor; Brian Mulhall and his wife Sheena; Julia Mulhall and her fiance Wesley Byrne; Andrew Doubek; Michael Doubek.
THREE GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTERS: Emily & Adelyn Klopstein and Milly Ray Mulhall.
Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by: a son Gregory Rehwaldt and all of Theodore’s siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 11:30 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery of the Illinois Veterans Home at a later date. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
