Terry Lee Forrest, age 65, of 640 Chestnut, died on July 30, 2011 in his home. He was born August 24, 1945 in Quincy, the son of Toney Ira & Betty Jane (Kaufman) Forrest. He married Ruthann Misner on October 16, 1964. She survives.

Terry served in the military as a Marine. His occupation following the service was as a truck driver. He retired in 1981.

His greatest enjoyment was time with his family, including his kids and grandkids.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Tony Forrest, David Forrest and his wife Sara along with Theresa Hills and her husband, Harold, all of Quincy; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by a son, Lonnie Forrest and a grandson, Justin Telfor.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Neil Moore. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Camp Point, IL with military honors conducted by the American Legion Post #37 and Illinois National Guard Military Honors Detail. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Blessing Foundation for HOSPICE or To The Family.
