Terry L. Brockunier, age 61, of 416 Chestnut, Quincy, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on October 25, 1951 in Ft. Madison, IA, a son of Charles & Mary Irene (VanWinkle) Brockunier.

Terry served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was formerly employed by Wis-Pak of Quincy. He was a member of Twin Oaks and Rocky Point Clubs and ABATE.

His hobbies included motorcycling, including attending Sturgis, boating, fishing and camping. He loved Harleys in particular.

He was always reading something, especially about his hobbies.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Irene Mesecher, of Galesburg, IL; two sons, Travis Brockunier and his wife Kasey of Quincy and Jason Brockunier and his wife Stephanie of LasVegas, NV; a step-son, Thomas Dolan of Ewing, MO; six grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Brockunier and Dwayne Mesecher and his wife Sue; a half-sister: Samantha Tharp and long-time companion, Diane Stark of Quincy. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Harry; and a daughter Terra Lynn.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Family and Friends are invited and will gather on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM at the North Side Boat Club. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
