Terry J. Dietrich
Terry J. Dietrich, age 63, of 1072 N. 2450th Place, Mendon, IL, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in
his home. He was born on February 8, 1951 in Quincy, a son of George & Ruth (Hinkamper) Dietrich. He married Linda K. Klauser on January 16, 1971 in St. Francis
Catholic Church. She survives.
Terry was a 1969 graduate of Quincy High School. Since 1983, he has owned and operated D&S Commodities of Quincy and was well-known in the commodities business.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Terry enjoyed gardening, fishing, and all things country western. He liked taking trips out west but also just spending time at home with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his five children Kimberly Zecchel and her husband Randy, Matt Dietrich, Mark Dietrich and his wife Shannon, Sarah Dietrich and her significant other Paul Wear, all of Quincy and Michael Dietrich of Mendon, IL; four grandchildren Aerik Steward and his significant other Colleen Lung, Alexandra and Samantha Dietrich, and Paul Wear, IV all of Quincy; great granddaughter Piper Steward of Quincy; one brother Thomas “Tom” (Florence) Dietrich of Fowler, IL; three sisters Charlotte (Ed) Huner of Quincy, Sharon (Steve) Shaw of Ft. Myers, FL and Sandy (Ken) Schonhoff of Breese, IL. Numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother & father in-law Lawrence & Marie Klauser, and a brother-in-law Charles “Chuck” Klauser.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Medical Center Foundation
or to St. Francis Grade School.
So very sorry to hear of Terry’s passing. Condolences to the entire Dietrich family. Fondly remember our two families camping together when we were kids
