Terry G. Forrest
Terry G. Forrest, age 82, of Quincy, died on Sunday, July 18, 2021 in his home. He was born on December 4, 1938 in Quincy, Illinois the son of Floyd and Ruby Eileen (Tieken) Forrest.
He married Donna (Cookson) Lollar on June 16, 1991. She survives.
Terry worked at Moorman Manufacturing, retiring in 1994 after 26 years of service.
Terry was of the Christian Faith.
Terry was an outdoorsman. He liked to hunt, fish, camp and build birdhouses. He was a tinkerer, always busy building something. Terry also loved to dance.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by:
CHILDREN: Steven Forrest (Paula) of Quincy; Cheryl Lear (Jerry) of Quincy; and Lisa Childress of Canton, MO.
BROTHER IN LAW: Jim Huebner and his family
STEP-CHILDREN: Russell Gilker, Jr., of Quincy and Timothy Pollock of Quincy.
SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN, a step-grandchild and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Carol Huebner, and 2 step children: Kenny Gilker and Johnny Lollar.
Per Terry’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A private family graveside will take place at a later date. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Terry my best memories of are when we camped at whispering oaks .We had so much fun dancing we even had are own song sweet home Alabama rip love till we meet againcathy
We have fond memories of Terry at the Silver Dollar. He was a great guy to know and a wonderful father and grandfather. We wish to extend blessings and our deepest sympathy to his children and their families.

Dad I’m going to miss you so so much….but I will never forget you. I love you so so much. I’m so sorry I didn’t come visit more. I just want u to know I never stopped loving u. You were and always will be my daddy. I LOVE YOU!! UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.
Terry was a funny man. Cassandra and I talked about him the other day . The time we was up at camp in camppoint and he had just a little to much to drink . He was so funny. We busted up laughing again over the phone .. he will never be forgotten. Donna u ever need anything I’m there for you. Love u dearly . Your the strongest woman I have ever met.
My deepest sympathy! Uncle Terry was a sweet soul and always had time to listen. We have so many fond memories of our outings at Whispering Oaks. He’ll never be forgotten. Love and prayers, Steve & Julie

Terry was my brother in law a lot of years ago. He loved to dance and had a great sense of humor. He loved his kids and we ALL will miss him dearly. RIP Terry. You and my ex-Terry can have a few beers together now and forever.
