Terry Eugene Sparks, age 60, of 500 Maine, Quincy, passed on Monday, January 11, 2016 in the comfort of his home. He was born on June 8, 1955 in Salina, KS, a son of Donald & Barbara (Terry) Sparks.

Terry was a 1973 graduate of Quincy High School. He was the Back Room Coordinator and loyal employee at TJ Maxx for 10 years. He had also worked at Shoes & More for a number of years before its closing.

He was an avid Cardinals fan. He loved golfing, grilling, fishing, bowling and walking his dogs (Benji, Oscar, Louie & MO). There was never a Blues in the District night that he missed at Washington Park. Terry was a son, brother and father that will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his parents, Donald & Barbara Sparks of Quincy;
his children, Ryan C. Sparks of St. Louis, MO and Megan M. Sparks of Quincy and their mother, Sue Sparks of Quincy; his siblings, Nancy Garrett of Arizona, Debbie (Scott) Schell of Quincy, and Connie (Jerry) Harcharick of Quincy; nieces and nephews, Laura Harcharick, Christine Mayfield and Eric & David Schell.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Allene & Virgil Terry and Goldie & Everett Sparks.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Tony Metz. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday beginning at 11:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Blessing Breast Center in lieu of flowers.
