Teofania R. “Faye” Buquis
Teofania R. ‘Faye’ Buquis, age 69, of 3326 Locust, died on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10:15 AM in her home. She was born on December 27, 1947 in Nasipit, Agusan Del Norte, Philippines the daughter of Aurelio & Gloria (Rufila) Buquis.
Faye was a cashier at Blessing Hospital Cafeteria. She was of the Catholic Faith and attended St. Francis Catholic Church.
She is survived by:
FOUR SISTERS: Gloria Baslot and her husband Dominador; Josefa Pulluan and her husband Nonoy; Josefina Wacan and her husband Allan and Adoracion B. Mertens and her husband Thomas Anthony Mertens, Jr.
TWO HALF-SISTERS: Ma Luisa Brillo and Tenie Bernales and her husband Jerry.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a half-sister: Delia Pajigal.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the services.
Faye was a wonderful lady with a kind heart, a sweet smile and always something nice to say. I looked forward to talking with her every time I came to the cafeteria at Blessing. It was such a shock to find out about her passing. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. God bless.
Faye and I were friends for over 35 years….dating back to our young day-care days. I’m just learning of her death after several attempts to get together.i am heartbroken that this angel has left our earth but know that she has been welcomed Home. I love you, dear friend,

Sad to hear about Faye. She was a great friend for a very long time. We became friends when both of my boys went to Vermont daycare. She was always asking how they were doing. She will be missed by everyone. She wore a smile every where she went. The heavens have gained another angel. Prayers to the family

Faye was a big part of my life growing up. She was the rock to our family. I will always cherish all the memories we have. She was a kind, funny, loving person and loved us kids like we were her own. Gone way too soon but never forgotten ~~~
Faye was a special person to my son, Scott, when he was in Vermont Street Daycare. She loved him, was so kind to him, and helped mold him into the man he is today. Rest In Peace, Faye
I am so sorry to hear of Faye’s death. She was such a sweet lady. I enjoyed seeing her at the Blessing F&N cash register almost daily before relocating to the business center. She will be missed by many!!!

I always loved seeing Faye at the cafeteria in the hospital. She always had a warm smile and happy face, greeting everyone with such cheer. She will be missed dearly. Thinking of those who she leaves behind. Incredibly sad to hear of her passing.

Faye was a wonder lady and C0-worker she use to suggest to me what to buy to eat and say it’s good for you. We had some good laughs and she will be missed. RIP Miss Faye
