Tameka Lynnette Griffin-Morris, age 45, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in her home. She was born on December 26, 1975 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Bryan Hill and Sheila Griffin Her biological father is David Turner.

She married Henry Lee Morris on February 14, 2020. He survives. Tameka worked at Denman Linen Services, where she loved her co-workers and they loved her.

Tameka was of the Christian Faith. Tameka loved cooking and entertaining family and friends. She was a great decorator. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and friend. She loved her family and her greatest joy was her one and only grandson, Caleb.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by:
PARENTS: Bryan Hill and Sheila Griffin
THREE CHILDREN: Niguel Griffin, Niambre Griffin and Nia Griffin.
ONE GRANDSON: Caleb Omere Henson
ONE STEP-DAUGHTER AND HER FAMILY: Lela Jones and her boys.
SIBLINGS: Eric Griffin (Charlene); Danasha Griffin (Terry); Braydon Griffin; Tiso Griffin (Mikeisa); Ashlen Griffin, Diania Hill, Bryanna Hill, Marlon Hill, Brandon Hines and Brittany Hines.
Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives also survive.

Tameka was preceded in death by her grandparents, a sister, Ariana Jason, and her aunt Valeria Griffin.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Moriah, 505 W. Nebraska, Peoria, IL, 61604 on Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Family. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
