Stevie “Bear” Watt
Stevie “Bear” Watt, known to his friends as “Bear”, age 51, of Quincy, formerly of Chicago, died in Quincy, Illinois at his home. He was born on July 4, 1969 in Chicago, IL the only son of Geneva Watt. He married Kecia Abbey. She survives.
Mr. Watt worked at Titan Wheel.
Stevie loved music, basketball and movies. He enjoyed spending his time with friends and family, especially the grandchildren.

HIS MOTHER: Geneva Watt
CHILDREN: Shantiya Abbey Payton (Priness), Tameshea Humphrey (Chris), and De-Jon Humphrey.
GRANDCHILDREN: De-Zon McCaston, Christopher McCaston, Mela Humphrey, Kaylen Thomas, Kaniya Thomas and Avah Humphrey.
He is also survived by special family he considered his siblings: Keisha Rose, Wesley Lofton and Jackie Pittman and his aunts: Linda Lofton, Beatrice Solomon, Fannie Thomas and Stella Black and numerous other relatives also survive.
Stevie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sara and Charlie TWatt and his best friend: Shawn Tyler.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Those attending the visitation are kindly asked to wear a face mask and following distancing guidelines. Following the visitation, the family will meet at Gardner Park to celebrate Stevie’s life.

Stevie was a great guy. We worked together at the Senior Center and he was always brightening someone’s day. He will be missed!
