Steven J. Miner
Steven J. Miner, age 56, of Pleasant Hill, formerly of Carrollton, IL died on Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Blessing Hospital surrounded by his family. Steve was born on July 21, 1956 in Carrollton, IL the son of Bill & Wanda (Powell) Miner. He married Patricia Walker Driskill in 1994. She survives. Steve was the owner and operator of the Lighthouse restaurant in Louisiana, MO. He had also worked as an electrical contractor.
Steve enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved the outdoors and the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to his wife, Pat, he is also survived by:
TWO DAUGHTERS: Jessica Bott of Springfield and Chelsie Whitelock and her husband Andrew of Nashville, TN.
STEP-SON: Geoff Driskill and his companion Carrie of Carrollton, IL
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Reyce Bott, Finnegan Whitelock, Blake Driskill.
ONE SISTER: Andrea Baird and her husband John of Quincy
ONE BROTHER: Roger Miner of New York, NY
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There is no visitation but memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials in Steve’s memory are suggested to American Heart Association.
The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Daddy- I wish everyone knew you like I did. You will be missed more than you will ever know but you were loved even more. I know you are on a beach somewhere waiting for all of us to join you someday. Not goodbye….see you later, daddy.
