Steven Dale Howe

Steven Dale Howe, age 64, of Quincy, IL passed away on July 12, 2023 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

He was born July 15, 1958 in Hannibal, MO and is the son of late Ronald William Howe and Juaita Smith Howe. He is survived by two daughters, Beth Dryden of Missouri, Trisha (Alex) Burns of Arkansas, and one son, Austin Howe of California. Two granddaughters, Kylie Rickey and Kaitlynn Burns, and three grandsons, Tyler Howe, Coby Rickey, and Wesley Burns. His stepmother Nancy Foley-Howe, one brother, Darron (Angie) Howe, step siblings, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Bill Vance, and two brothers, Wayne Howe and David Howe.

Steve loved talking about his earlier days of playing pool, foosball, music, and running around with friends or family. He had a skill of painting cars that led him to owning his own auto body shop and was known for his quality work, which he took pride in. Also, Steve loved reading history, watching the news, and talking about whatever sports game that was on. He always asked what his grandchildren were up to and loved them dearly. They loved their “Pa Pa.”

Cremation rites will be accorded. Arrangements are in care of Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Quincy Memorial Park in Quincy, IL.

    Steve we had our bad times but we also had our good. I’ll have those memories to look back on. We sure loved those gambling boats lol. We’d probably be millionaires now if we had all that money back. As Ozzie said I’ll see you on the other side. RIP

    I am so sorry to hear this. I can’t imagine him being gone. Steve was the best. He loved his kid, grandkids so very much. I Will really miss him. He texted me several times a day. Always worried about everybody but himself. Prayers for all of you and He will be protecting you from above.
