Stephen M. “Steve” Vosse

Stephen M. “Steve” Vosse, age 52, of 4221 Ellington Road, Quincy, died on Saturday, February 5, 2011 in the Emergency Room at Blessing Hospital. He was born on February 18, 1958 in Quincy, IL a son of Virgil & Dorothy (Davis) Vosse.

Steve was a 1976 graduate of Quincy High School. He was a truck driver for Sisbro.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and he loved his animals and his property known as the “Ellington Road Outfitters”, where the motto was “the service sucks, but the beer is cold.”

Survivors include:
ONE DAUGHTER: Lindsey L. Vosse of Nashville, TN;
ONE BROTHER: William Vosse of Quincy;
ONE SISTER: Denise Deming (Ted Neisen) of Quincy;
HIS FORMER WIFE: Amy Austin of Quincy;
NEPHEWS: Stephan Deming, Devin Deming, and Ian Vosse.
Numerous great-nieces & nephews also survive along with his dog, Bubby.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Calvary Cemetery. There is no visitation but family and friends are invited to the graveside services. Arrangements are with the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Quincy Humane Society.
