Stanley Thompson
Stanley R. Thompson, age 81, of Deep Creek, Florida, died on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in his home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Quincy, Illinois. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Notre Dame High School in Batavia, Illinois.
Dear Aunt Betty, Lynn, Stacey and Joey:
Denny, Stephanie and I are very saddened by the passing of Uncle Buddy. Our hearts ache for each of you and we extend our heartfelt sympathy to your entire family. He was one in a million and we will miss him, those summer visits and those big hugs he gave everyone. Uncle Buddy always made us laugh and was always showed interest in his entire family and he loved everyone. As Uncle Buddy would always tell us before he, Betty and Marla would hit the road to Batavia or Quincy, “we love you.” We trust that the memories you hold dear of Uncle Buddy will, in time, give each of you peace and comfort in the days ahead. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
