I met your dear family member some six years ago through a good friend of mine Sister Jean Marie Hilvers who back then was living at the Mercy Franciscan Terrace adjacent to St. Clare Convent.
Sister Elizabeth and I became fast friends and I was always happy to hear the many stories that she had concerning her carrer and the many experiences she had. Along with Sister Jean I considered them both as mentors and had a high regard for both.
Sister Jean passed away in 2008 and I continued to visit St. Clare Convent and was always excited about going to see Sister Elizabeth. I can also credit Sister Elizabeth for having introduced me to the Shepherds of Christ ministry which throughout the years has been an inspiration.
Sister Rita Kruthaupt informed me that Sister Elizabeth was having trouble with her health and was about to enter into eternal life. That was Friday June 29 and when I phoned back on Sunday I got the definitive news.
I wanted very much to be at the prayer service and Mass of Resurrection planned for Sister Elizabeth and I resolved to get the next plane out and make it ot Cincinnati to pay my respects.
It was difficult to say good-bye but I am at peace that my dear friend is now in the presence of our heavenly Father, and I am thnkful to Him for having let me know one of His faithful servants for these past few years.
May God bless Sister Elizabeth Mast forever and ever. Amen.

Dear Family,
I extend to all of you my sympathy and prayers. Sister was my prayer- partner for the Shepherds of Christ and of going to chiroprator so I spent quite a bit of time with her since she came to St. Clare’s.There were 12 SofC’s at her funeral. We all loved her. I know she loved her family. Let us all pray that we may join her in heaven.
Love and prayers,………..Sister Rita
