Shirley Mae Wheeler, age 75, of Sycamore Healthcare Center, formerly of 1252 Hampshire Street, Quincy, died on Saturday, December 26, 2009 in the Home. She was born on October 28, 1934 in Petoskey, Michigan, a daughter of Charles and Halcyone (Wyant) Kiogima. She married Paul Wheeler on January 25, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1998.

Shirley loved sewing, working in her garden, and watching and feeding the animals. She was a pack rat, she kept anything and everything.

BROTHER: Charles Kiogima and his wife Elaine of Muskegon, Michigan.; James Jacob Kiogima Eureka, CA.; Jerome Edward of Ponitac, MI.;
SISTERS: Elisabeth Rose Kiogima of Petoskey, MI.: Marian Ann Sedlak and her husband Wayne of Roscommon, MI.;
GRANDCHILDREN: Jennifer, Mary and Heather, of Double Spring AL,
Tammy Baldwin and her husband (Leonard) of Jasper AL.; Jimmy Hosford and his wife Crystal of Double Springs AL.; Jessica Armock and his wife Robert of Grand Rapids, MI.; Misty Tapia and her husband Salvador Tapia.; Amanda Morton and her husband Robert of Muskegon, MI,; Joshua Dunn, Jason Ring, April Ring.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, one son Kenneth George Kiogima, one greatgrandson Ivan Tapia, two brothers Robert Joseph Kiogima and John Thomas Kiogima, two sisters Carolyn Marie and Charlene Marie Kiogima, and a sister-in-law Wanda Mae Kiogima.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the services at the funeral home.
