Shirley Mae Hines
Shirley Mae Hines, age 85, of Sunset Home, formerly of 1111 Elm, died on Thursday, March 7, 2013 in the Sunset Home. She was born on March 5, 1928 in Lincoln, NE, the daughter of John Richard & Effie J. (Atwood) Daw, Sr. She married Bennie Lee Hines, Sr. Shirley worked as a LPN at Sunset Home and at St. Mary Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by:
TWO SONS: Bennie L. Hines, Jr. of Quincy and James W. “Jay” Hines, Sr. and his wife Dorothy of Maywood, MO
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Nicole Hines, Jessica Campbell and her husband Jon, Tiffany Hines, Brittany Hines, and J.W. Hines, Jr.
FOUR GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Asher and Caleb Hines and Bella & Emma Campbell.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Shirley was preceded in death by: two brothers: Harry Atwood Daw and John Richard Daw, Jr. and two sisters: Helen Loretta Gordon and Josephine S. Wellman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, IL Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 until the time of the services at 11:00. Memorials may be made to the Bethel Assembly of God Church.
