I was only around my Aunt Shirely a handful of times during my growing up, but she made a deep impression on me due to her gentle spirit and caring nature. Years ago, after our youngest son was born, she passed through town and stopped to see us. It was a great visit. I consider her one of the genuine “saints” in my family and she will be dearly missed.
