Shirley J. Clarkson, age 66, of the Sycamore Healthcare Center, died on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on December 29, 1949 in Quincy, the daughter of Edward & Lillian (Hartzell) Burton.

Shirley worked as a nurse’s aide for the Illinois Veterans Home.

She is survived by:
HER PARENTS;
TWO DAUGHTERS: Jennifer Robertson of Quincy and Randeana Slater also of Quincy.
SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: Jason Keller, Jordan Guthrie, Amie Keller, Austin Wester, Mercedes Bence, Angela Brink, and Joseph Brink.
TWO BROTERS: Archie Burton and his wife Melinda and Walter Burton and his wife Stephanie.
Numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
