Sherrill “Bill” Schuckman, age 85, of 2817 Joyce Road, died on Thursday, February 7, 2013 in the Sunset Home. He was born on June 30, 1927 in Quincy the son of Sherrill & Mary (Sparrow) Schuckman. Bill married Pearl Irwin on December 24, 1950 in Plainville.

Bill was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He worked for numerous years for Moorman Manufacturing until his retirement. After his retirement he had also worked for Bayview Building Supply and Farm & Home Supply. Throughout all of his working years, he also would work on heaters for friends in his garage. Bill was a long-time member of the Unity Church of Quincy. He liked camping, boating and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Bill is also survived by:
ONE CHILD: Lora Lynn Holt and her husband Dale of Quincy
2 GRANDCHILDREN: Dominic Heberlein and Dalehnie Holt
2 BROTHERS: Jerry Schuckman and his wife Kathy and Louie Schuckman and his wife Sally.
ONE SISTER: JoAnn Platt
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Richard “Dick” Schuckman, Charles Schuckman, Bob Schuckman and Mary Martin.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
