Shawn M. Unglesbee age 22, of 735 South 13th Street Quincy, died on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 6:52 p.m. in his home. He was born May 5, 1992 in Quincy; a son of Michael and Sherri (Hidy) Unglesbee.

Shawn had worked at the Quincy Herald Whig. He was a graduate of Quincy High School.
Shawn loved music, and gaming, especially on his Nintendo and Play Station. He liked skateboarding, bicycling and watching movies. He had a way of tormenting people, especially his mom. Despite his physical appearance and his battle with epilepsy, Shawn was a brave young man with a heart of gold.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his grandmother, Phyllis Hidy of Quincy; a brother Matthew Unglesbee of Quincy; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dormand Hidy; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Betty Lynch; and an uncle, Larry Hidy.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Quincy Memorial Park Cemetery, by the Rev. Henry Pratt. There is no visitation, but family and friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
