Scott G. Clayton

Scott G. Clayton, age 61, of Quincy, IL died on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in his home. He was born on March 25, 1960 in Quincy, the son of Roger and Barbara (Taylor) Clayton. Scott worked at Hollister Whitney Co. for nearly 40 years.

Scott was a car enthusiast and was involved in numerous car clubs. He was a member of Rocky Point Club and South Side Boat Club. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. He also enjoyed darts and shooting trap. Scott dearly loved mustangs. He took ‘Boss’, his pitbull best friend, everywhere.

He is survived by:
HIS MOTHER: Barbara Morse (Michael)
THREE CHILDREN: Stephanie Agnew (Deon) of Hannibal; Shalisha Clayton of Quincy and Scott G. Clayton also of Quincy.
ONE STEP-SON: Eric Glas of Quincy
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Haley Davis; Caydence Clayton, Kai Hickman and Ayden Tappe.
TWO SIBLINGS: Jeff Clayton (Terri) and Anita Edwards (Lee).
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
COMPANION: Cheri Hayes
Scott was preceded in death by his father, and three siblings: Steve Clayton, Danita Turnbaugh, and Kirk Clayton.

Friends and family are invited to gather at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM for a funeral procession to Calvary Cemetery where graveside services will follow. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to a car club of the donor’s choice.

    To all of the family, God Bless you all may God be with all of you in this difficult time. Scott was a very amazing man. He was always there for everyone. I will miss him so much. I know he’s looking down on all of you and smiling with no more pain. Until we meet again Scott enjoy Heaven Life.
