Scott A. Baze

Scott A. Baze, 61, of Quincy, died Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

He was born April 22, 1961 in Quincy, the son of John and Donna Waack Baze. He married Deanna Fugate on October 10, 1986 in Margate, FL and she survives.

He is also survived by two sons, Brandon (Nichole) Baze of Quincy and Cory (Kendra Davis) Baze of Knox City, MO; seven grandchildren, Alexandria, Olivia, Henry, Evelyn, Kimberly, Harley and Ryann; four brothers, Richard Baze, David Baze, John (Trudy) Baze and Kevin (Carla) Baze; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Christina “Tina” Baze Hess and a sister-in-law, Pam Baze.

Mr. Baze was employed for several years as a deckhand for American Commercial Lines. He enjoyed going fishing, camping and traveling. Scott was also an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams.

A Celebration of Life to honor Scott will be held at the VIP Lounge (2929 Broadway, Quincy) at noon on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Memorials are suggested to the Palmyra Vet Clinic.
