Sandra Mae Meade
Sandra Mae ‘Sandy’ Meade, age 77, of Quincy, died on Friday, May 23, 2024 in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. She was born on January 31, 1947 in Pittsfield, IL the daughter of Raymond ‘Jack’ and Alberta ‘Maurene’ (Buchannon) Smith. She married Daniel Meade in St. Rose Catholic Church in Quincy on August 12th, 1967. He survives. Sandy was a Department Manager at Walmart for many years until her retirement.
Sandy was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She enjoyed meeting for breakfast with her friends, needlepoint, cross stitch and puzzling. She was also known to have enjoyed a nap or two.

Her children: Martin Meade (Julie Leasure), Brian Meade (Kim) and Nicole Williams (Rickey).
Grandchildren: Madison and Elizabeth Meade
Siblings: Brenda Waggoner (Dan), Jackie Shaul and Mike Smith.
Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Inurnment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning at Blessed Sacrament Church from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass at 11:00. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
