Ryan D. Freiburg

Ryan D. Freiburg, age 40, of Mendon, died on Saturday, December 20, 2014 in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. He was born on July 29, 1974 in Quincy the son of Phil & Donna (Obert) Freiburg. Ryan was a 1992 graduate of Unity High School. He married Tennille Schutze. She survives. Mr. Freiburg worked for ADM Alliance Vehicle Maintenance. He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. He was a Boy Scout Troop Leader. He loved truck driving, traveling through 47 of the 50 states, seeing the mountains and oceans, being known as “Hightower.” Never meeting a stranger.

In his youth, Ryan was a Ursa South Paper carrier receiving the Carrier of the Year award. He also loved going camping & fishing with his children, always ready to try out a new recipe in his Dutch oven. He never missed an opportunity to give his nieces and nephews a hard time.

He is survived by:
HIS CHILDREN: Shyann Freiburg and Dalton Freiburg
HIS PARENTS: Phil & Donna Freiburg of Ursa.
HIS SISTER: Jennifer Neisen and her husband Darren of Lewistown, MO
NIECES & NEPHEWS: Jordyn, Gage, Brianna, and Zachariah Neisen
HIS AUNTS & UNCLES: Stan & Marilyn Obert, Dan & Mary Jo Obert, Rhonda and Alan Koch, Peg and Rob Dresden, Greg & Nancy Obert, Mike and Barb Obert, Barb Boyle, Esther and Mark Rhea, Don & Jacque Obert and Tony & Paulie Freiburg.
In addition, numerous cousins survive.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents: Louis & Florence Freiburg and Don & Anna Mae Obert, an aunt, Mary Beth Obert and an uncle, Mark Obert.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 9:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Edwards Catholic Church in Mendon. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home in Quincy. Memorials may be made to Ryan’s children’s education fund, Boy Scout Troup 43 or St. Edwards Catholic Church.

    Words cannot describe the sorrow and emotions our family feels for yours. We are proud to say Ryan was a part of our lives. He was a great friend and wonderful father. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Tennille, Shyann, and Dalton as well as the rest of the family. He was taken too soon but, God has received another wonderful angel from us here on earth.

    Ryan was the light of any party or function. He was a blessing to know and have as a friend. His big smile will be missed but never forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
