Ruth Mueller, age 83, of 2240 Elm, died on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the North Adams Home. She was born on September 22, 1929 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Leo and Mildred (Claus) Simons. She married Eugene L. “Smokey” Mueller on October 20, 1951 in St. Peter Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2011.

Mrs. Mueller worked at Pipes Answering service for many years. She was also later a bookkeeper at several area businesses. In her earlier years she was a speech correctionist and was also a certified Braille Transcriber.

Ruth was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan.

She is survived by:
THREE SONS: Leo Mueller and his wife Nancy; Greg Mueller and his wife Sally; and Joe Mueller and his wife Mary all of Quincy;
Grandchildren: Christopher (Jennifer) Mueller; Barbara (Chad) Logsdon; Thomas Mueller and Matt (Sarah) Mueller; Nathan (Pagen) Mueller; Sarah Mueller, Virginia and Joey Mueller.
Great-Grandchildren: Twins, Abby and Ally Mueller; Tanner Mueller; Hannah and Wyatt Mueller; Morgan Mueller, James Mueller; twins, Lucas and Logan and Lily Mueller.
Nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the St. Francis Building Fund.
