Ruth J. O’Livo

Ruth J. O’Livo age 87, of 1529 Jackson St. Quincy, died on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 3:40 p.m. in North Adams Home. Ruth was born September 9, 1926 in Quincy, a daughter of Edward & Nellie (Smith) Stoneking. She married Albert J. O’Livo on May 29, 1970 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2004.

Ruth was a graduate of Quincy High School.
Ruth was a homemaker, she had also worked at the former D’Ore Shoe Store, in uptown Quincy prior to retiring. She had attended the Crossing Church.

Ruth was a member of the Red Hats Club. Her greatest joy was getting to spend time with her husband, Albert, their family and their dogs.

Survivors include a son, Del Dace of Quincy;
Three grandchildren, Brock, Kyle and Taylor Dace all of Springfield, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Project.

    I would like to leave my deepest and heartfelt condolences to the surviving children all 3 of them DeWayne, Debra and Del also to the rest of the family of Ruth.

    May the Lord continue to embrace each one of you through your time of loss, I pray also he bring about restoration for all concerned. God Bless you all and may Ruth rest in peace.
