Russell R. Gilker, Jr.
Russell R. Gilker, Jr., age 61, of Quincy, died on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on December 7, 1960 in Quincy.
Mr. Gilker worked at Titan Wheel for many years. He later worked as a mechanic for Sisbro.
Russell loved golf and watching CUBS Baseball. He adored nature and liked to feed his birds and his favorite squirrel, Rocky. He had a great sense of humor as well. Russell also dearly loved his dog, ‘Sissy’ and his granddog, ‘Rio’.

Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Russell was preceded in death by silbings: Kenny Gilker, Chris Gilker and Johnny Lollar and his step-father Terry Forrest.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 10:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #37 and the National Guard Honor Detail. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 9:30 until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
