Ruby Elizabeth Briscoe
Ruby Elizabeth Briscoe, age 92, of New York City, New York, died on Sunday, August 28, 2011 in the home. She was born on February 24, 1919 in Versailles, IL, the daughter of Francis & Opal (Hoosier) Davis. Ruby worked as an administrative receptionist with Rao’s Specialty Foods for over 25 years.
She is survived by:
FOUR CHILDREN: Francis Briscoe of Quincy; Sharon Straci and her husband Ron of New York, New York; Kenny Briscoe of Peoria, Arizona and James Briscoe also of Quincy.
EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN, 19 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN and a
BROTHER: Orville Lee Davis and his wife Norma also survive.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. A Memorial visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4:00 PM until the time of the services at 7:00 at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
