    Dear Margie:
When I started my job at St. Mary Hospital in 1990, I got well acquainted with Dr. Rapp in his role as Department of Surgery Chairman, and through his work with the Medical/Dental Staff Bylaws. He was one of a kind! I would bring meeting minutes or various other documents to his office for his signature, and he usually had stories to tell me (unless he was too busy with patients). I enjoyed learning from Dr. Rapp; he was a very interesting person. It was a pleasure to work with you, Margie, these past 20 years as well. All the best to you!

Dr. Rapp has been a true friend to me even though I am only 14 years old. We played the trumpet together in his office and talked about school, family and all our interests. I hope I can be a great doctor like him some day. I’m going to miss him.

Our community was blessed to have Dr. Rapp. He
was not only a skilled doctor and surgeon. He
actually cared about his patients and their families. I first went to the Rapp Clinic as a 12 year old in 1954 to receive a polio vaccine.
The doctor has treated everyone in my family.
His many, many patients share your grief.
